No man who has friends is a failure

I pass this house on my way to Paramount. Have always wondered who lives/lived there, what the inside looks like and why they chose to line the driveway with nineteen statues of David. Apparently, Youngwood Court was once owned by Nat King Cole. The statues were an addition made by the current owner. Allegedly, he had started with one, but once his neighbors voiced their disapproval, his collection grew. Complain about one statue of David and end up with nineteen? I bet they were none too pleased. Well, this house is for sale for 2.4 million, and somehow, I feel as if the Davids might be gone once the new owner sets foot in those doors. Every year I vow to take a Christmas photo in front of this house….depending on how soon it sells, I may or may not have to celebrate Xmas in July.

I remember when Michael Jackson died, they dressed all the Davids up in “Thriller” garb and had this giant ass screen showing music videos out in front. I call it the Gaudy House.

You know you live in Los Angeles if you know where this is.

Dude! I always passed this as a kid!“Look at the naked statues! Gross!” Haha im much older nowyaniyaya:
